Let's look into our minds being a Yoga practitioners. What do we need most? Why do we do Yoga?
Smooth, structured, and coordinated breath, with a purpose, is not easy for most of us to master. It is true that there should not be any debate on just how powerful yoga can be. Yoga has proven to give beneficial rewards to millions of people in helping them to reduce stress and also to help keeping them in shape while at the same time assisting them to lead a healthy lifestyle.
If you visit the local book store, you see hundreds of Yoga books, CD s, DVD s, card decks, and kits. Should you buy a copy of the Yoga Sutras by Patanjali or buy one of the for dummies Yoga books? See all of these ar egood, but neither of them comes with audio for you to listen to while you are tarvelling on the public transport. As Yoga is getting popular, and any exercise can be taught like Yoga. That is utterly rubbish! To be honest, if something looks and sounds like Yoga; it's probably "Yoga in disguise."
I do not want to take away any credit, but Yoga is a 5,000 year old health maintenance system. You could call Yoga the "mother" of all health maintenance systems. Many of today's health maintenance systems are "off shoots" of Yoga.
It i just like Shao Lin from China is teh source of all teh Fighthing Arts!
There are many sayings about dreaming big. But how many really dare to think big? They have not found their life purpose, and they may think opportunities are for everyone else. Jnana Yoga teaches us to study and look within for answers. Each person has unique gifts and a higher purpose in this life. It might be a safe guess to say that less than 10% of all people are completely satisfied with their lives. Out of that small percentage, how many of them do you think found their true purpose? Each Yoga style has its own flavor, but yu being a prospective student should talk to a Yoga teacher prior to the particular class.
